Government has announced that a new COVID-19 strategy will soon be launched with more intervention measures and guidelines to curb the rising number of cases.
Health Spokesman, Dr Abel Kabelo who was giving the COVID-19 daily update on Wednesday did not elaborate how the strategy will work but said it will have more robust interventions.
He said 558 patients have been discharged, bringing the total number of those discharged to 5,667.
He added that the country has also recorded 229 new cases, including seven health workers, from contacts to known cases and routine health facility screening.
Dr Kabalo further said the country has recorded three deaths, one from the community and two health facility deaths bringing the total number of deaths to 176.
The total number of cases in the country stands at 7,022 including 176 deaths and 5,667 recoveries.
