Swimming sensation and assorted medal winner Tilka Paljk took to social media today to air out a few grievances towards Zambian journalism.
In a Facebook post on her page, Paljk stated: “I think the majority of Zambian journalism [sic] needs to go back to school and learn how to use words correctly and spell properly, including understand how their headlines and stories affect the readers subconsciously.”
She went on to say: “It really comes across like you are all just doing this job because you are forced to and you are not really sure what’s going on. I honestly do not see any passion in the work of these journalists.”
Could this be a bitter comment with a personal vendetta against journalists or a factual situation that needs to be addressed urgently in the journalism faculty?
