The High Court has declared Miles Sampa as duly elected Member of Parliament for Matero and Former Education Minister David Mabumba has had his election for Mwense constituency upheld.

Former President Edgar Lungu’s daughter Tasila Lungu, has also been declared duly elected Chawama Member of Parliament, while PF Kwacha Member of Parliament Joe Malanji has lost his parliamentary seat.

And from the Eastern Province, the Chipata High Court has declared Kasenengwa Patriotic Front Member of Parliament, Philemon Twasa, as duly elected. This was after it dismissed the petition by losing UPND candidate,
Beauty Undi-Phiri.

Ms. Phiri alleged in her petition that Twasa, in the company of then Kasenengwa District Commissioner, Sara Kalaluka, distributed mealie-meal to the electorates.
