POLICE EXPLAINS SHOOTING OF A LUSAKA PHARMACIST – by Tito Kalama

A Couple of Lusaka was ambushed by a group of plain-clothed police officers in Kamwala South area on saturday.

In an exclusive interview with S24, the victim, Peggy Chirwa, narrated that her husband Victor Chirwa picked her from work along Kafue Road and they passed through Chawama Compound as they proceeded home in Chalala when police officers shot at them on suspicious that they were criminals.

She explains that her husband is currently admitted at the University Teaching Hospitals nursing a gunshot wound. Meanwhile, Zambia Police Service Spokesman, Rae Hamoonga has clarified that the vehicle Toyota Mark X driven by Victor Chirwa was early in the day used in an armed robbery of one million kwacha Madras from Masood Mussa Marketing Manager at Crown Milling Company.
